A BIT QUIET

St Luzia

Its been a quiet week here in Tavira partly because it began with an horrendous cold I might have picked up in foggy cold Lisbon. Felt much better yesterday so went for a bike ride in the pleasant sunny weather. Of course, there was the mandatory coffee stop in Tavira by the river. The mountain bike is borrowed from a Brit who lives near here. Dont know what he'd been doing to it but all the gears etc were clogged up with a solid black gunge as if he'd been lubricating it with old engine oil. Had to spend hours cleaning and overhauling it before it was rideable.
So, tomorrow I'm off back to Seville and then to Cordoba. Managed to obtain an over 60's pass from the Spanish bus company ALSA on the internet. I dont have the actual card yet but when I reserved and paid for  seats to and from Seville and Cordoba, it saved me 40%. Not only that, the sights in Spain have great reductions for over 60's, if not free! That cant be bad, can it?   (text from email)

A cold northerly wind today which is not ideal for a taking a ride. But at least I can look forward to tomorrow's trip to Seville. I'll be away for about 5 days and hopefully this weather wont follow me. Cheers D
